Their main advantage lies in the combination of rugged waterproofing and reliable support under the boot—two crucial qualities when conditions deteriorate at high altitudes.

Protection and Waterproofing of the TSL HIGH TREK Gaiters

Made from 420D polyamide with a PU coating, the HIGH TREK gaiters form an effective barrier against snow, water, and pebbles that might find their way into the boot. This polyurethane coating provides the fabric with moisture resistance suitable for extended winter outings, without unnecessarily weighing down your gear. Depending on the size chosen, the height ranges from 38 to 40 cm, ensuring sufficient coverage of the lower leg even in deep snow.

A closure system designed for high-altitude mountaineering

The front zippered opening features a full-length YKK zipper, renowned for its reliability in demanding winter conditions. A hook-and-loop flap protects the zipper from snow buildup and impacts, thereby extending the zipper’s lifespan. At the top, the fit is secured by a “Top Scratch Locker” system or by an elastic band combined with a front hook—two options that allow you to adjust the fit around the bottom of the pants according to your body type and preferences.

Stability Under the Boot

Position stability is ensured by an interchangeable steel cable that runs under the sole. This cable, designed to withstand repeated friction against rock or ice, can be replaced when worn out, significantly extending the gaiters’ lifespan. Weighing 125 g per gaiter in size M and 150 g in size L, the set remains unobtrusive in a backpack or on the leg, without compromising freedom of movement.
