The history of TSL began in the 1980s in Thônes, not far from Annecy. It was there that the brand reinvented the traditional snowshoe by launching the first composite plastic model, which was lighter and more ergonomic. The name TSL stands for Thônes Sports Loisirs, a tribute to the valley where the brand was born and its Alpine roots. It is also one of the last companies to manufacture its products locally, at the foot of the Aravis mountains, in its historic factory.
