The technical heart of this pack is the Alpride E2 airbag system, developed in collaboration with Alpride. It utilizes supercapacitor technology that enables reliable high-pressure deployment across a temperature range of -30 °C to +50 °C, making it operational in extreme winter conditions. Unlike cartridge-based systems, it allows for multiple deployments and recharges via a USB-C port, with two built-in AA batteries as a backup. An LCD screen displays the system’s status. TÜV Süd-certified and designed to be climate-neutral, this pack also comes with a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.

A Structured Carrying System for Alpine Terrain

The Alpine System provides full-back support, with stabilization straps and load-adjustment straps to adapt the pack to the wearer’s body type, accommodating heights ranging from 170 cm to 195 cm. The padded hip belt features a gear loop, a slot for an ice screw clip, and a zippered pocket—all details designed for easy access on the move. The adjustable chest strap is equipped with a safety whistle, and a leg loop completes the support system during challenging sections.

Organizing and Carrying Mountaineering Gear

The main compartment opens wide thanks to a full-length three-way zipper, facilitating quick access to the contents. A dedicated compartment for avalanche gear, an interior compartment for valuables, and a retractable, removable helmet pocket organize the available space. The pack is compatible with a hydration system holding up to 3 liters, featuring an insulated hydration tube sleeve integrated into the shoulder straps. On the outside, an ice axe loop, helmet clips, and gear loops on the front allow you to carry technical gear without cluttering the interior. An SOS tag is also included.

Materials Suited for Winter Conditions

The pack’s shell combines 420D polyamide and 210-denier ripstop fabric with a TPU coating, offering abrasion resistance suitable for repeated contact with snow, ice, and rock. The water-repellent fabric, formulated without PFAS, meets current environmental standards while providing protection against moisture. Measuring 55 x 32 x 22 cm (H x W x D) and weighing 2,660 g (including the airbag system), it offers a compact footprint for such a comprehensive piece of equipment.
