Plum 80 mm Yellow Race Knives

Plum 80 MM YELLOW RACE Crampons: Enhanced grip for your hard-pack snow outings

The Plum 80 MM YELLOW RACE crampons are designed to secure your ascents on hard or icy snow by optimizing the grip of your Plum touring ski bindings. Specifically designed for 80 mm width, they provide targeted grip on narrow skis while maintaining the fluidity of your footwork. Made of Titanal and distinguished by their yellow color, they integrate seamlessly into your Plum setup for a controlled transition between ascent and descent. On the ascent, their role is to stabilize your steps on tricky sections; on the descent, they fade into the background, allowing your skis and bindings to fully express their potential.

Optimized grip on hard and icy snow

The Plum 80 MM YELLOW RACE crampons are crampons for touring ski bindings specifically developed to improve the grip of your Plum bindings on hard and icy snow. Their 80 mm width is adapted to the corresponding skins, maximizing effective contact with the snow during traverses and turns. The grip-focused design allows you to maintain steady footing and a more confident ascent when skins alone are no longer sufficient. This ensures a seamless transition from a controlled ascent to a committed descent, knowing that the route to the summit has been secured.

Compatibility with Plum bindings for a cohesive system

These Plum crampons are compatible with a wide range of Plum brand ski touring bindings: GUIDE, PIKA, OAZO, SUMMIT, WEPA, YAK, and RACE. This broad compatibility allows you to maintain technical consistency between your crampons and your binding system, whether you prioritize lightness, versatility, or performance. On the ascent, the crampons work in conjunction with the toe piece and heel piece to stabilize your skis on sections of packed snow. On the descent, you can fully enjoy the features of your binding without compromise, as the crampons are removed as soon as conditions allow. The full name, Plum 80 MM YELLOW RACE Crampons, clearly indicates the combination of the 80 mm width, the yellow color code, and the performance-oriented use.

Simple 90° installation: efficiency and smooth transitions

The Plum 80 MM YELLOW RACE crampons stand out for their easy installation directly above the binding. Simply position them at 90° to engage them, which simplifies setup when snow conditions change. This installation mechanism helps reduce unnecessary handling and makes your transitions between firm snow and icy sections smoother. You stay focused on your ascent line while looking forward to a smooth descent as soon as the crampons are removed.

Titanal material and German manufacturing: durability and reliability

Made from Titanal, Plum crampons benefit from a material renowned for its rigidity and mechanical strength, which translates into crisp bite and minimal deformation during heavy pressure. The Plum 80 MM YELLOW RACE crampons are also manufactured in Germany, a guarantee of industrial expertise and consistent production quality. The 2-year warranty included with these crampons reinforces confidence in their durability. Season after season, you’ll have a specialized technical tool to ensure safe ascents on hard-packed snow, allowing you to fully enjoy your descents.

Plum crampons are available in a range of widths covering 80 mm, 90 mm, 100 mm, 110 mm, 120 mm, and 130 mm, with weight varying by width.
