The APHEX Oxia Photochromatic ski goggles are a unisex model designed for skiers who ski in varying light conditions and want lenses that adjust automatically. Its photochromatic lens automatically transitions from category S1 to S3 depending on ambient light intensity, covering everything from days with low visibility to outings in bright sunshine. The frame is designed for narrow faces, with triple-density foam that ensures a comfortable, long-lasting fit.

Adaptive Vision at the Heart of the APHEX Oxia Photochromatic Goggles

The photochromic lens is the central feature of this goggle. It reacts within seconds to changes in light, shifting from S1 for low-light conditions, fog, or overcast skies, to S3 on sunny days on fresh snow. This adaptive feature eliminates the need to carry a spare lens or interrupt a run to change lenses. The Revo Blue finish, available on select models, adds a mirror coating that reduces glare in very bright conditions. The 180-degree field of view provided by the cylindrical lens ensures good peripheral vision, which is useful for anticipating changes in terrain or the presence of other skiers.

Long-Lasting Comfort and Anti-Fog Performance

The anti-fog coating applied to the inner surface of the lens limits the buildup of condensation, even during intense physical activity or sudden temperature changes between the interior of a chairlift and the slope. The Airflux system ensures air circulation between the foam and the lens, helping to maintain a stable temperature inside the goggles. The triple-density foam conforms to the contours of the face while distributing pressure evenly, reducing uncomfortable pressure points during long sessions.

Versatility and Practicality for Everyday Use

The cylindrical magnetic lens system allows for quick, tool-free lens replacement, which can be useful if you want to switch between different lenses depending on conditions. The adjustable strap features a non-slip silicone coating to keep the goggles securely in place on the helmet. The RSS system makes the strap removable, facilitating maintenance or replacement. The anti-scratch coating protects the lens surface from repeated contact with gloves or the carrying pouch, which is included with the goggles. The frame is made from organic and recycled materials, a design choice that reduces the environmental impact of production.
