The Tecnica Forge GTX MS revisits the classic leather trekking shoe with a modern approach, incorporating advanced technologies to offer the perfect balance between comfort, support, and versatility. Designed to accompany demanding hikers on technical terrain, it guarantees optimal stability and lasting comfort during long days in the mountains.
Its 1.8 to 2 mm suede leather upper provides excellent abrasion resistance and durability. Combined with the Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort PFC-Free membrane, it guarantees waterproof and breathable protection, keeping your feet dry and comfortable whatever conditions you encounter on the trails.
Adaptive Shape Technology: personalized comfort
The Forge GTX MS features Tecnica's exclusive AST – Adaptive Shape Technology. This system combines memory foam, preformed thermoplastic inserts, and a pre-molded Ortholite® anatomical insole. Together, these elements allow the shoe to gradually adapt to the shape of your foot for a precise fit and optimal support for the heel and forefoot. The result is exceptional comfort throughout the day, even on long hikes or challenging treks.
Grip and versatility on all terrains
To tackle a wide variety of terrain with confidence, the Forge GTX MS is equipped with a Vibram® XS Trek EVO™ outsole. Developed in collaboration with Vibram®, it features a complex structure with four distinct zones. The outer lugs improve stability and adaptability on mountainous surfaces, while the inner lugs provide multidirectional traction. A grip zone inspired by climbing shoes facilitates technical approaches, and self-cleaning channels effectively remove mud and debris.
Support and protection on technical terrain
The stability of the Forge is based on a polypropylene shape integrated above the compressed EVA midsole, providing rigidity and support on rough terrain, even with a loaded backpack. A carbon plate under the forefoot provides effective protection against sharp rocks. A PU rand reinforcement also protects the toes and side areas from abrasion, increasing durability and safety.
On the practical side, metal eyelets and open hooks allow for precise and quick lacing, while lace locks maintain the fit on the instep. The Backloop rear tongue makes it easy to put on and can be used to hang the shoes on a backpack.
Weighing approximately 600 g per half pair, the Tecnica Forge GTX MS offers an ideal compromise between durability, protection, and comfort. It is designed for hikers and trekkers looking for a reliable, stable, and high-performance shoe for tackling technical trails and long mountain adventures.
