Designed for male hikers who head out in cool weather, the Schöffel PANTS STYLE CASCATA MNS combine a warm inner lining with 4-way stretch fabric to ensure both thermal comfort and freedom of movement on the trail. Their water-repellent finish and quick-drying properties make these hiking pants ideal for the changing conditions of the mountains during the cold season.
The fabric composition— 92% polyester and 8% spandex—allows for resistance-free four-way stretch. In practice, this translates to notable ease of movement during steep climbs, technical sections, or when navigating obstacles. The pre-shaped knees follow your movement from the very first step, without requiring any gradual adjustment. The Regular Fit provides enough room to layer a base layer if temperatures call for it, while maintaining a fitted silhouette that doesn’t hinder your stride.
The waistband features a flex zone and belt loops, allowing you to adjust the fit based on your body type and the gear you’re carrying. The adjustable leg cuffs with integrated gaiters make it easy to transition from open trails to snowy or muddy terrain, minimizing water ingress at the ankle. For storage, two zippered side pockets and a zippered thigh pocket meet everyday needs without adding bulk. The fabric breathes effectively during exertion while providing adequate thermal insulation for outings in cold conditions.
The fabric is made from recycled materials, in line with a commitment to reducing environmental impact. It can be machine-washed at 30°C on a delicate cycle, making regular care easy without compromising the fabric’s technical properties. Weighing 395 g, the pants remain lightweight in your pack or on the scale before setting out—a key consideration for long hikes in hiking gear, where every gram counts.
Specializing in technical clothing for the mountains and the outdoors (skiing, ski touring, hiking, trekking, cycling), Schöffel is the German benchmark for anyone seeking reliable, durable, and high-performance gear. Waterproof jackets, ski pants, merino wool base layers, softshells, fleeces, and accessories: the Bavarian brand outfits nature lovers from head to toe, from hiking trails to ski slopes.
Designed for winter hiking and trekking, these Schoffel hiking pants combine a water-repellent finish with a warm inner lining to handle outings in cool weather. Their 4-way stretch ensures complete freedom of movement, while the pre-shaped knees and adjustable cuffs with built-in gaiters optimize support in all conditions. Quick-drying fabric and a waistband with a flex zone round out a design tailored for long days in the mountains.
