Deuter Futura Pro Jaypack 36 Hiking Backpack for Photographers - Black
With a volume of 36 liters and a weight of 2,340 g, this model is designed for photographers who enjoy hiking, whether for a challenging day trip or a light weekend getaway. Its recommended load of 6 to 10 kg allows you to carry both your camera equipment and outdoor essentials with complete stability.
The back system provides excellent back protection thanks to its ergonomic design. VariFlex hip stabilizers, a flexible Delrin® U-frame, and forward-adjusting straps ensure a precise and dynamic fit. The flexible and ergonomic Active Fit shoulder straps, combined with a continuously adjustable chest strap, promote natural support, even on technical terrain.
Suitable for back lengths from 44 to 54 cm (body height 170–195 cm), it offers an optimal balance between freedom of movement and load transfer.
Deuter Futura Pro Jaypack 36: a true integrated camera bag thanks to the Camera Box Two
The Futura Pro Jaypack 36 becomes a complete camera bag thanks to the integration of the Camera Box Two. This padded cover effectively protects your equipment from shocks, dust, and scratches.
Optimized for bags of at least 36 liters with a front opening, it can be used separately or integrated directly into the bag. For an integrated configuration, simply replace the foam element of the front flap with that of the Camera Box Two. Conversely, you can remove the entire assembly to transform the bag into a classic hiking model.
The Camera Box Two offers generous space (internal dimensions 34.4 x 25.4 x 15.4 cm) to accommodate a digital SLR camera with lens attached and up to four additional lenses or accessories. Thanks to its padded Velcro dividers—small, double, triple, and cross—you can organize your equipment precisely according to your configuration.
Smart organization for the field
In the field, every detail counts. This bag has been designed to offer maximum versatility and quick access to your equipment.
Here's what makes the difference when you're out and about:
- Front zipper access for easy access to the Camera Box or your belongings

- Elastic compartment for wet clothes or water bladder
- Compatible with hydration systems up to 3 liters
- Two external side pockets and compression straps
- Attachments for poles, ice axe holder, and helmet loops

Each feature contributes to a seamless experience, whether you're climbing, in the forest, or scouting the landscape.
A sturdy and eco-friendly camera bag
Beyond its technical performance, the Futura Pro Jaypack 36 is part of a responsible approach. 50% of the threads used come from recycled raw materials, and the main material is bluesign® certified.
Its construction combines sturdy, abrasion-resistant 600D recycled polyester (PES REC BS) with 210D recycled polyamide, known for its lightness and durability. This choice of materials ensures an excellent compromise between strength, controlled weight, and reduced environmental impact.
The result is a bag that protects your camera gear and your back, while meeting the demands of the most dedicated outdoor photographers.
