Designed for unisex use, the Elémenterre Kapro ice cleats are intended for hikers and walkers facing the most challenging winter conditions: black ice, packed snow, and frozen trails. Their rubber construction and 10 tungsten carbide spikes are the two key technical features of this model, designed to significantly reduce the risk of slipping without adding extra weight to your gear.

Elémenterre Kapro Ice Crampons in Winter Conditions

Tungsten carbide is a particularly dense and abrasion-resistant material, which gives it excellent durability when in contact with frozen or snow-covered surfaces. The ten spikes distributed across the sole create consistent grip points that improve traction on ice and packed snow, where a standard hiking or trekking shoe is no longer sufficient. The rubber structure, meanwhile, provides the flexibility needed to conform to the shape of the shoe and absorb the stresses caused by uneven terrain.

Quick installation for everyday adaptability

The Kapro’s ergonomic design makes it easy to put on and take off, without requiring any tools or complicated steps. This quick-installation system is particularly appreciated when soil conditions change throughout a winter hike, alternating between icy areas and clear sections. Compatibility with various types of shoes broadens their range of use, whether they’re dress boots or walking shoes. Available in sizes L and XL, they fit a wide range of shoe sizes.

Lightweight design to keep your outing from feeling heavy

Weighing 134 g per pair in size M, the Kapro crampons take up very little space in a backpack or jacket pocket. This lightweight design, combined with the durability of the materials used, makes them a piece of gear you can always carry with you in winter without any hassle. Manufacturing is carried out by BSCI-certified partner factories, ensuring compliance with social standards throughout the production chain.
