Montura designed the Shelter Jacket Woman for women who hike in unpredictable weather and want reliable protection without adding extra weight to their gear. Weighing just 260 g, this three-layer waterproof jacket made from recycled polyester combines lightness and durability in a versatile design that’s just as comfortable on a mountain trail as it is during an everyday outing in the rain. Its Regular fit, specifically designed for the female body according to the ErgoFit philosophy, ensures unrestricted freedom of movement.

Protection from the elements with the Montura Shelter Jacket Woman

The three-layer recycled polyester fabric incorporates a membrane with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm and a breathability rating of 10K/10K, which wicks away body moisture while blocking rain and wind. The PFAS-free DWR treatment enhances surface water resistance without using harmful chemicals, in line with the brand’s eco-responsible commitments. Prometeo Weather Ready technology, certified as Weather-Ready, complements this system to maintain thermo-adaptive comfort in changing conditions—a feature particularly useful at high altitudes or on days with variable weather.

Ergonomics and Adjustments to Adapt to Any Situation

The adjustable hood offers targeted protection as soon as conditions deteriorate, while the hook-and-loop cuffs and adjustable hem allow you to seal in the thermal envelope according to your needs at any given moment. The front zippers and secure hand pockets are integrated into a design intended to remain functional even when wearing gloves. The fabric’s high abrasion resistance and quick-drying properties extend the jacket’s durability through repeated outings, and UPF 50+ sun protection provides additional coverage during extended exposure in the mountains.

Clothing Designed with Sustainability in Mind

The choice of recycled polyester for the three-layer fabric is part of a more responsible manufacturing approach, rooted in a design philosophy born in the Italian Alps. The jacket remains stretchy to move with you without restriction, and its windproof properties round out the full range of protection expected in exposed terrain. The Shelter Jacket Woman is available in Dusk, in sizes XS through L.
