Designed for young skiers ( ages 5 to 8), the Atomic MAVERICK JR 100-120 Ski Set + C5 GW ME Bindings is designed to help kids learn to ski while having fun on the slopes. This versatile all-mountain children’s alpine ski set bridges the gap between small skis and adult sizes, with lengths ranging from 100 to 120 cm. Bend-X technology underfoot makes it easier to flex the ski, while the All-Mountain Rocker and 66 mm width underfoot contribute to intuitive handling and good grip. The C5 GW bindings, which are GripWalk-compatible and TÜV-certified, round out the set for a well-rounded alpine experience for kids.

A versatile junior set for ages 5 to 8

The Atomic MAVERICK JR 100-120 Ski Pack + C5 GW ME Bindings is designed for children ages 5 to 8 looking to improve their skills on the slopes, offering a ski intended as an intermediate step between smaller models and adult-sized skis. The 100–120 cm length and all-mountain category allow young skiers to enjoy a variety of conditions on groomed snow while maintaining good control. Wider than the Maverick JR 70-90 models, this ski maintains a shape tailored to each length to ensure consistent and reassuring performance for young skiers.

Bend-X technology and Densolite core for easier turns

At the heart of this pack, Bend-X technology incorporates a flex zone under the binding, allowing the ski to bend more easily under a child’s foot. This feature helps young all-mountain skiers control their turns by making turn initiation more gradual and reducing the effort required. The Densolite core, a lightweight, vibration-absorbing foam, contributes to a more forgiving and enjoyable ski, which promotes learning and long-term comfort. Combined with the Junior Trak S construction, the ski’s performance remains predictable, making it particularly well-suited for young skiers.

Dura Cap construction and structured base for durability tailored to children

The edge-less Dura Cap construction, where the top sheet wraps around the edges, provides a sturdy structure while making it easier for younger skiers to steer. This design minimizes areas vulnerable to impact and is well-suited to the repeated use of children’s alpine skis. The textured finish provides high wear resistance while offering a high-quality finish, which is essential for junior equipment used throughout the season. A stainless-steel tip guard, screwed on for easy replacement, extends the ski’s lifespan by protecting the tip from frequent impacts.

All-mountain edge angles and rocker for intuitive grip

The Atomic MAVERICK JR 100-120 features an 87° side cut and a 1.3° base angle—a combination that promotes intuitive handling and reliable grip on groomed snow. These settings make turning easier while maintaining good grip, helping kids gain confidence in their skiing. The All-Mountain Rocker —with rocker at the tip and camber in the center—contributes to better stability and a smoother turn initiation, while keeping the ski easy to control on the slopes.

GripWalk-compatible C5 GW bindings with tool-free adjustment

The C5 GW bindings included in the Atomic MAVERICK JR 100-120 Skis + C5 GW ME Bindings Pack are TÜV-certified and compatible with GripWalk soles, ensuring compatibility with alpine ski boots that meet this standard. The Junior Trak S system allows for tool-free length adjustment, which is convenient for quickly adapting the setup to different shoe sizes within the specified adjustment range. The setup is described as easy, featuring lockable brakes to keep the assembly secure, as well as compatibility with a racing kit to accommodate specific uses.
