Created over 130 years ago by Joseph Opinel, the N°07 has become a symbol of the traditional French knife. Ideal for picnics, camping, hiking, or simply everyday use, it appeals with its simplicity and efficiency. Its medium size makes it an excellent compromise between compactness and ease of use.

Long-lasting sharpness and easy maintenance

Its 8 cm stainless steel blade ensures a precise cutting edge, excellent wear resistance, and easy maintenance. Unlike carbon steel, it requires no special care under normal conditions of use. It retains its sharpness even after multiple uses, including on tough materials.

Inspired by the Turkish saber, its Yatagan shape with raised tip guarantees a smooth cut and great robustness. The exclusive curved grinding also facilitates effective re-sharpening.

Comfortable grip and enhanced safety

Its varnished beech handle, sourced from eco-managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions, offers a comfortable, natural and secure grip. Each piece is unique, with light wood ranging in color from yellow to pink.

Finally, the Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel, locks the blade in the open or closed position, ensuring safe use and transport.

Lightweight, safe, durable, and pleasant to use, the OPINEL N°07 Stainless Steel knife embodies all of Opinel's expertise. A sure bet for lovers of well-designed and well-made objects, whether as a gift or to add to your own collection.
