The city of Marrakech is world-famous for its beauty and grandeur. The medina, the medieval quarter with its many mazes, is a lively meeting place. It will not leave you indifferent.
The Place Jemaa el-Fna is a jewel of the oriental world. This esplanade, home to numerous citrus fruit merchants, is the best place to try a local orange juice. It is said that the best... What could be better than sitting in one of the surrounding cafés toadmire the many street performers? Once night falls, the square is transformed into a huge open-air restaurant where the party is at its height.
The souks here will make your eyes sparkle with the beauty of the ceramics, jewellery and lanterns on display. These are places where the atmosphere and the people you meet are just waiting to be discovered!

Morocco Hiking is an agency whose roots go back to 2008, when Huguette Rochelle, its founder, discovered the mountains of the Central High Atlas by climbing M'Goun (4067m). It was a real passion that drove the French hiker, and she wasn't about to stop there.
6 months later, Huguette ventured into the Sahara desert. An arid environment, hostile to man, but a source of change, fulfilment and total discovery that she wanted to share with others.
In 2009, the Frenchwoman's adventures continued, crossing the Siroua massif (the Anti Atlas), the Saghro (pre-Saharan massif) and the eastern High Atlas. During these itineraries, she did not fail to climb the highest peaks of the latter! There's no stopping her, and her thirst for adventure is what drives her.
One of her dreams came true in 2010, when she became the caretaker of a gîte in the Toubkal Massif, more specifically in the village of Imlil (1740m altitude). This enabled her to become even more immersed in Moroccan culture, and to set off on various trails to perfect her knowledge of the mountains.
Every winter, the deserts of Zagora and Merzouga are on the agenda for Huguette, who needs to get away from it all and rediscover these unique, original places, to be discovered at least once to understand their beauty and grandeur.
