Samaya is based in Annecy, in the French Alps, near Chamonix. The company specializes in the design of ultralight, highly innovative and technical tents for hikers and mountaineers. These are tents that meet demanding criteria.

The Samaya 2.5, a revolution!

Created for mountaineering, it's also great for trekking and hiking, in all types of weather and terrain. But it's not limited to the mountains: it's also ideal for kayaking or cyclo rando
In terms of capacity, the Samaya 2.5 is designed for 2.5 people, which means it can hold all the adventure/climbing gear of two people without taking up too much cabin space. Its floor area is 3.2m².
In terms of waterproofing, the tent is made up of a single wall with a 3-layer membrane, and a breathable waterproof fabric that wicks away moisture without letting it in. Its waterproofing is equivalent to a 20,000 mm water column, and its breathability is 40,000 g/m²/24h. By using this technology, Samaya gets rid of the bad reputation of the single-wall tent, synonymous with condensation.
The weight of this tent is an important asset. In fact, the Samaya 2.5 weighs just 1.6kgs for a 4-season tent. Its dimensions (200 x 210 x 120 cm ) are perfect in terms of space for hikers or mountaineers equipped with lots of gear. What's more, it has two large side pockets and another high up.
The Samaya 2.5 tent has ventilation windows with zippers in the dome. Even though the walls of the tent are breathable, this also ensures that the tent is well ventilated in the morning.
Solid, high-performance and durable!
Its floor is made of Dyneema, with Cordura reinforcements in the corners. Dyneema is an ultra-strong polyethylene fiber produced using a patented gel-rotation process. This remarkable fiber is up to 15 times stronger than steel. It has a high energy absorption capacity and very low elongation. It is also extremely resistant to abrasion, humidity, UV rays and chemicals, ensuring good strength.
The structure consists of 3 8.7-mm DAC FeatherLite NFL poles. For anchoring, the tent is supplied with SwissPiranha's latest unbreakable plastic pegs. The zippers are, of course, by YYK, with the weatherproof Aquaguard model. A truly robust tent. Its structure is made of aluminum. When folded, the tent measures 18.5 x 23 cm (6.2l)
For even more space, the tent can be combined with the Samaya 2.5 Vestibule (sold separately), to create a large vestibule. This converts it into a true 3-seater tent.
A repair kit is also included.
