The new Sea to Summit Ether Light XT mattresses
Sea to Summit is introducing a new range of inflatable mattresses this year. The Ether Light XT and Ether Light XT insulated. The Australian brand promises greater comfort at an ultra-light weight.
The new Sea to Summit mattress range
Ether Light XT
The new Air Sprung Cell technology enables the mattress compartments to be divided up differently. As a result, while less fabric is used, the air pockets are larger on the Ether Light XT than on other mattresses. The result is a mattress 10 cm thick when inflated, twice as thick as a Sea to Summit Ultralight. This extra thickness means you can sleep on your side without your hips and shoulders touching the ground. The icing on the cake: the Ether Light XT weighs just 350g in Reg size.
Ether Light insulated
Ether Light insulated features Thermolite fibers and an Exkin Platinium membrane for extra thermal protection. The r-Value (thermal resistance) increases from 0.8 to 3.8. The reg size weighs 425 g.
Both Sea to Summit mattresses have a high-performance valve that does not protrude once the mattress is inflated:
- On inflation: you can adjust the pressure according to your weight.
- When deflating: the double stopper opens completely for almost instant air release.
The Ether Light XT and Ether Light XT Insulated come with a storage bag that doubles as an inflation pump. This means fast, effortless inflation with less moisture build-up in the mattress. In this respect, both models are treated with an anti-microbial product that will limit the appearance of mold and mildew.
Another new feature is the pillowlock fastener, which secures a Sea to Summit pillow to prevent it from moving during the night.
