Lyofood freeze-dried meals: a new horizon of flavours

Lyofood is a Polish manufacturer specialising in freeze-dried food, whether for late-night office hours or treks to the most remote places on earth.

Lyofood is also the guarantee of a quality meal, both in terms of taste and the ingredients selected, as demonstrated by the many awards won by the Polish manufacturer.

Starting with the OutDoor Industry Award, the industry's highest accolade for product design and innovation. With the Gold award won in 2013, Lyofood can boast that it offers "the most delicious freeze-dried meals currently available on the market". We're not saying that, just theOutDoor Industry Award jury, no less...

But then again, every year, the jury at the international sports business trade show chooses the start-up with the most potential in the field of sport, which earned Lyofood the title of finalist for the 2014 ISPO BrandNew.

Lyofood's third accolade was theEditors' Choice Award presented byOutdoor Magazine in 2015. This title is awarded once a year to products whose innovation and practicality have won over the editors, a panel of product experts from around the world who test hundreds of products every year.

Finally, in 2015, Lyofood received its second Outdoor Industry Award, thanks in particular to its'Lyo Powder' range of products based on freeze-dried fruit drinks. Once again, the jury was quick to praise their products, describing them as "the ultimate outdoor smoothies".

But then again, Lyofood offers the certainty of quality food, since all the products used are 100% natural and grown on their own fields. This means they can keep control of the production chain, knowing exactly where they come from.

What's more, all the ingredients are processed in-house. In other words, once they have been harvested, they no longer leave the factory until they are delivered, as the freeze-drying chamber is located directly on the packaging line.

This means that all the meals are cooked before freeze-drying, which allows the flavours to come out better than if the food had not been cooked together beforehand. This freeze-drying method, used since 1992, has made Lyofood famous.
