te hike will plunge you into the heart of the Parc des Volcans to the north of the Puy de Dôme. It takes 4 hours 55 minutes and covers a distance of 13.48km, with a positive difference in altitude of 385m. From ascents to descents, you'll discover the Sarcoui , nicknamed the "cauldron" at 1147m, and its cave, the Puy des Goules and its 30m-deep crater, the Puy de Côme and its lava flows, and the Cliersou and its caves. More than just a hike, this is a real lesson in open-air geology! An ideal outing for families and friends. This moderately-difficult hike through the heart of the puys in the Auvergne Volcanoes Park requires hiking boots and preferably a rucksack with enoughwater,food and warm clothing. The area is quite windy, so a windbreaker, soft-shell or goretex jacket is practically essential.
