The Leki WCR PRO SL TR is an alpine ski pole designed for racers and ambitious skiers who demand maximum control in slalom. Made from HTS 6.5 aluminum—a high-strength alloy heat-treated using LEKI’s proprietary process—it combines structural rigidity with impact resistance to withstand the demands of slalom racing. Its fixed-length, single-tube construction ensures direct energy transfer with every push.

Optimized grip for racing

The Trigger 3D SL grip is at the heart of the WCR PRO SL TR’s ergonomics. It establishes a direct connection between the glove and the pole, resulting in enhanced control and immediate responsiveness during rapid changes of direction. The system features a quick-click mechanism for effortlessly fastening and unfastening the wrist strap, even with thick gloves. The Trigger Frame Strap completes the package by keeping the hand in a stable and precise position, suited to the intense demands of slalom racing.

Construction and Performance: Aluminum, Stiffness, and Aerodynamic Profile

The 18-mm-diameter tube features an Airfoil profile, a cross-section engineered to reduce air resistance and optimize lateral stiffness. The Ultrasonic finish refines the tube’s surface for a smooth grip. The steel tip with a carbide insert ensures a firm grip on hard snow and ice—conditions commonly encountered in slalom competition. Weighing approximately 290 g for a 120 cm length, the pole remains easy to handle without sacrificing the durability needed to withstand repeated impacts against the gates.

Racing Basket and Availability

The Leki WCR PRO SL TR is equipped with a space-saving Racing basket, designed for groomed slopes and competition courses where support must be precise and free from interference with the snow. The pole is available in 120- and 125-cm lengths, in a Bright Red-Violet-Neon Yellow color scheme that’s easily recognizable on the course. The fixed-length construction, characteristic of racing skis, eliminates all mechanical play for an immediate response with every push-off.
