The Leki CARBON 14 TR is a single-piece alpine ski pole designed for demanding skiers who ski on the slopes and are looking for performance-oriented equipment. Its PRC 1000 (Performance Racing Carbon) construction makes it remarkably lightweight and provides excellent stiffness for energy transfer, while still maintaining sensitivity to lateral impacts—a characteristic inherent to this material. Weighing 235 g per pole (for the 120 cm length), it is suitable for both advanced recreational skiers and those training for races.

Construction and Energy Transfer: Carbon for Precision

The 14 mm diameter cylindrical shaft made of PRC 1000 carbon ensures uniform stiffness along the entire length of the pole, promoting direct transmission of momentum with each push. The single-piece construction, without a telescoping mechanism, preserves the mechanical integrity of the pole and eliminates any unwanted play. The Leki Flex Tip, a short tungsten carbide tip, ensures precise grip on virtually all trail surfaces, whether groomed, icy, or lightly snow-covered.

Grip and Ergonomics: The Trigger 3D SL System

The Trigger 3D SL grip features four non-slip grooves for the fingers as well as an additional support area, which improves grip during high-speed turns. The Trigger Frame Mesh Strap features a 220° release angle, allowing the hand to disengage from the pole in the event of a fall—a safety feature explicitly integrated into the Trigger 3D system. The Trigger 3D Cap adapter also enables compatibility with Leki pole guards and the Leki GoPro adapter, which can be useful when filming your training sessions.

Versatility and On-Trail Compatibility

The CARBON 14 TR is available in lengths of 120, 125, 130, and 135 cm to accommodate different body types. Its compact, tool-free Cobra Alpine basket is designed for the groomed trail: it provides solid support on packed snow without adding weight to the pole or hindering passage through gates. This basket design is intended exclusively for alpine use on groomed slopes; it is not suitable for deep powder or ski touring.
