The Leki RIDER VARIO is a junior ski pole designed to adapt as children grow, thanks to an adjustable aluminum construction and a quick-lock system. Designed for alpine use on the slopes, it combines easy adjustability with a grip tailored to small hands, ensuring that every outing focuses on skill development.

Precise adjustment that keeps pace with growth

The Leki RIDER VARIO’s two-section telescopic design covers an adjustment range from 85 to 105 cm, allowing the child to use the same poles for several seasons without needing to replace them. The Speed Lock Plus system ensures a secure lock with a single motion, without tools: 35% lighter and 27% more compact than the previous generation, it maintains the same holding force. The tube diameter, which gradually increases from 14 to 16 mm, contributes to the overall stiffness while keeping the weight to 197 g per pole.

Grip designed for young skiers

The Turbo Sport grip is specifically sized for children’s hands, providing a natural grip without requiring excessive effort. The Buckle Strap, an adjustable one-size-fits-all wrist strap, is easy to adjust even with thick gloves, making it simple for children to put on their gear independently. The design ensures a comfortable grip on the slopes without restricting movement.

Aluminum construction and on-piste features

The TS 4.5 (Treated Shaft) aluminum shaft offers a good balance between impact resistance and lightness—a material well-suited for junior use, where poles are subjected to a variety of stresses. The steel tip integrated into the shaft ensures reliable grip on groomed snow. The compact Racing/Trekking-style basket is perfectly suited for ski poles used on groomed trails, without any unnecessary bulk.
