Toussaint was founded in Colmar in 1935. The company developed waxes to improve the glide of downhill skis. The Parsenn brand was born. In 1960, waxing became necessary for skis with polyethylene soles. To promote the use of the brand name internationally, the company renamed the Parsenn brand"VOLA". Vola then continued to grow, also joining forces with Soft Control, a company offering timing equipment. Vola now offers a wide range of waxes, as well as helmets, goggles and ski poles.
