The construction of the Skitrab GARA PLUS: carbon, wood, and steel for precision

The Liwood core is engineered with a differentiated configuration, allowing the density of the wood to be locally adjusted according to flex and pressure zones. Surrounding this core, a micro-mesh carbon cage—known as Hibox—ensures torsional control: in practice, the ski responds precisely to edge engagement without dissipating energy laterally. A HiConnect carbon bridge connects the two edges beneath the base, reinforcing the transfer of pressure from one edge to the other. Thickened steel edges complete this design by providing enhanced grip on groomed or icy snow—the conditions where racing skis are most often used.

Geometry and profile optimized for on-piste racing

The 92-64-79 mm dimensions position this ski for precise carving on groomed slopes, with a narrow 64 mm waist that facilitates quick edging and direct edge transitions. The 23.6-meter radius at 162 cm corresponds to a medium-sized turn radius, suitable for giant slalom courses or speed training on marked trails. The profile features an early rocker at the tip, which facilitates turn initiation without adding weight during the turn initiation phase, as well as a flat Duo Tail that stabilizes the turn exit and keeps the ski on track during the glide phase.
