Marker and its new DUKE PT binding arrive at Speck-Sports!
Marker, a benchmark brand in ski bindings, needs no introduction. Whether it's competition bindings with the XCOMP, all-mountain bindings with the Jester or the Griffon, or ski touring bindings with the Alpinist or the Kingpin, Marker no longer has much to prove.
And yet, Marker once again surprises us with their brand-new DUKE PT binding, a concentrate of innovations in a top-of-the-range product that we hope will appeal to as many of you as possible.
So what is it about this binding that appeals to us so much?
This binding's special feature is its Ride & Hike front stop. This offers a DIN of up to 16 for the DUKE PT 16, and up to 12 for the DUKE PT 12. The DUKE PT binding therefore features an insert stop with incredible climbing performance. Its greatest strength lies in its Convertible Toe technology, which reduces the weight of the binding by 300g thanks to a mechanism that allows the top part to be removed to make way for the inserts. This reduces the weight of the binding from 1350g when descending to 1050g when climbing.
Once again, Marker has delighted us with this new binding. The DUKE PT is nothing less than the perfect binding for freerando enthusiasts. It's a pleasure to use on the way up, thanks to its 300-gram weight reduction, while retaining its more-than-honorable qualities on the way down, to give you the best possible riding experience.

Enhanced stability with Quad Lock technology
This stop is also equipped with Quad Lock technology, which secures the removable part at four points when you switch to downhill mode. In this way, the DUKE PT offers the same transmission qualities as an all-mountain binding on the way down, without neglecting lightness on the way up.
In addition to this stop, the DUKE PT offers a host of other benefits, including the Inter Pivot 3 Freeride heel cup, with a DIN between 12 and 16, depending on the model. This heel piece has been completely redesigned to improve transmission and power, reduce vibration and improve spring travel, all while making it easier to fit thanks to its magnesium construction.
The heel piece also features a multifunctional brake that locks automatically on ascent. Once locked, it's easy for you to set a 10° wedge with your stick, or leave it down for a neutral position.
Of course, for maximum performance, the binding features an ice-scraping rail under the sole and anti-friction AFD pads that guarantee secure release without the influence of dirt, snow or ice.
Sole Id technology enables the bindings to be adapted to alpine ski boots (ISO 5355), touring ski boots (ISO 9523) and Gripwalk boots at the touch of a screw.
