Designed for cyclists who pack their saddle bag to its limits, the Ortlieb SEAT-PACK STRAPS 16.5L saddle bag addresses a specific problem: keeping the saddle bag stable when the weight distribution becomes unbalanced. These support straps complement the existing mounting system to prevent any slipping while riding, whether on smooth roads or more challenging terrain.

Enhanced stability for the Ortlieb SEAT-PACK STRAPS 16.5L saddle bag

The principle is simple and effective: the straps are added to the saddle bag’s mounting system to provide extra support where the load might cause the entire unit to tip or slide. Without this type of reinforcement, a fully loaded bag can shift sideways or downward, compromising riding comfort and bike stability. These straps directly address this issue by securing the bag more reliably to the frame or saddle.

Functional Materials for a Durable Mount

The straps are made of nylon, a material known for its tensile strength and long-term durability. Each strap is equipped with a buckle and a hook that make installation and adjustment easy, while the excess strap is secured with a Velcro closure, preventing any unwanted flapping during the ride. Compatibility is clearly specified: these straps are designed for use with the 11L and 16.5L Ortlieb Seat-Packs. The set is covered by Ortlieb’s 5-year manufacturer’s warranty on its accessories.
