Arva PLUME TS Shovel

Arva PLUME TS Shovel: The Telescopic Avalanche Shovel for Your Backcountry Adventures

The Arva PLUME TS Shovel is designed for ski tourers and off-piste enthusiasts looking for avalanche safety gear that is both effective and easy to handle. Designed for digging through deep snow, it combines an adjustable telescopic handle with a shovel head optimized for quickly clearing snow. Thanks to its compact design when folded, it fits easily into your pack without taking up too much space. Its lightweight construction and carefully engineered dimensions make it a reliable companion to complete your avalanche kit on every mountain outing.

Telescopic handle: adjustable length and quick-lock mechanism

The Arva PLUME TS Shovel is equipped with an anodized aluminum telescoping handle, designed to provide efficient shoveling while minimizing fatigue. The minimum length of 62 cm allows you to work close to the snow for greater precision, while the maximum length of 76 cm provides better leverage for moving large volumes of snow. When folded, the shaft measures 45 cm, making it easy to store in a ski touring or freeride backpack.

The PIN LOCK locking system ensures quick attachment of the shovel head to the shaft, a real advantage when you need to deploy your shovel without wasting time. The ergonomic T-handle is designed to provide a secure and intuitive grip, even when wearing thick gloves, which improves your efficiency during periods of sustained shoveling.

• Telescopic length 62 to 76 cm: adjusts your working position to optimize shoveling power.
• Folded handle length 45 cm: easily stores in your bag without getting in the way of your other gear.
• PIN LOCK system: allows for quick attachment of the shovel head to the handle to save precious seconds.
• Ergonomic T-handle: improves grip and reduces hand fatigue during rescue operations.
• Anodized aluminum: offers good wear resistance for regular use in snowy conditions.

Aluminum bucket optimized for efficient shoveling

The bucket of the Arva PLUME TS shovel is made of anodized aluminum, a material that contributes both to the overall lightness of the shovel and to its durability when dealing with the stresses of packed snow. Measuring 25 x 21 x 1.5 cm, the bucket is designed to offer a good balance between snow volume and maneuverability, helping you quickly clear the burial zone without losing control.

These dimensions allow you to load a quantity of snow suitable for sustained shoveling, while minimizing the effort required for each movement. The bucket’s profile facilitates anchoring in the snow and improves stability during lifting, which helps make rescue operations smoother and less energy-intensive.

• Bucket dimensions 25 x 21 x 1.5 cm: volume optimized for efficiently moving snow without losing control.
• Anodized aluminum: enhances the shovel’s resistance to friction and repeated impacts in hard snow.
• Compact design: fits easily into an avalanche safety pack to accompany you on every outing.

Weight optimized for ski touring and off-piste

The Arva PLUME TS Shovel weighs 490 g, making it one of the safety tools suited for skiers looking to reduce their pack weight without compromising on rescue gear. This lightweight design is a major advantage during long ski-touring ascents or high-altitude traverses, where every gram counts in managing your exertion.

Combining a compact telescoping handle, an anodized aluminum bucket, and a PIN LOCK locking system, this avalanche shovel is designed to make your rescue maneuvers smoother while remaining unobtrusive during your ascent. Integrated into your ARVA pack with a beacon and probe, it effectively completes your avalanche kit for off-piste and challenging routes.

• Weight 490 g: minimizes the load in your pack to preserve your endurance on the trail.
• Compact design: makes it easy to carry on your off-piste outings.
• Snow-specific equipment: tailored to the safety needs of demanding ski tourers.

By choosing the PLUME TS Avalanche Shovel, you’re adding a shoveling tool to your avalanche kit that’s designed to balance efficiency, compactness, and controlled weight. Paired with your beacon and probe, it lets you head into the mountains with a cohesive and reassuring rescue kit, so you can enjoy your off-piste outings while staying prepared for avalanche situations.
