Smith CACHE MIPS Ski Helmet

Smith CACHE MIPS Ski Helmet: Technical Protection for Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding

The Smith CACHE MIPS Ski Helmet is designed for skiers and snowboarders seeking protection that combines cutting-edge technology with comfort. Designed as a unisex helmet, it’s perfect for all-terrain adventures thanks to its lightweight construction and optimized impact management. Thanks to the MIPS® system and KOROYD® zonal coverage, it provides more consistent head protection in the event of a fall. You’ll enjoy a helmet engineered to combine safety, a precise fit, and effective ventilation on the slopes.

Safety-Focused Protection and Construction

The Smith CACHE MIPS ski helmet features a lightweight in-mold construction that fuses the outer shell and EPS foam to create a one-piece design that is both lightweight and durable. This architecture reduces the weight on your head while ensuring a uniform structure, suitable for regular downhill skiing and snowboarding. The KOROYD® zonal coverage adds an extra layer of protection, with inserts designed to absorb impact energy while remaining ventilated.

At the heart of the safety system, the MIPS® brain protection system helps reduce rotational forces generated during oblique impacts, thereby limiting the stress placed on your head. The helmet also meets ASTM F 2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B certifications, which define its impact resistance performance for snow sports. With its plastic outer shell combined with EPS foam, the Smith CACHE MIPS Ski Helmet offers a balance between impact absorption and durability suited to mountain conditions.

Interior Comfort and Precise Fit

To ensure your ski helmet remains comfortable all day long, this model features a 360-degree micro-adjustable system. This system allows you to adjust the fit around your head evenly while on the move, ensuring a stable fit whether you’re carving turns or riding off-piste. Weighing approximately 500 g in size M, it also enhances comfort by reducing neck strain during long days of skiing or snowboarding.

Inside, the Ionic+® antimicrobial lining is designed to provide sweat-activated odor control. This treatment helps maintain a fresher feel throughout your outings, which is especially appreciated during intensive use. This provides an interior environment designed to optimize comfort, with a fabric construction engineered to feel pleasant against the skin.

Ventilation and Compatibility with Your Ski Goggles

Ventilation plays a key role in maintaining your thermal comfort on the slopes. The Smith CACHE MIPS ski helmet features the AirEvac ventilation system, designed to work in tandem with Smith goggles and promote airflow out of the helmet. This directed airflow helps minimize fogging on the lenses, contributing to more consistent visibility during temperature changes or physical exertion.

This coordinated interaction between the helmet and goggles also helps manage heat inside the helmet. You’ll enjoy ventilation engineered to support your runs without compromising protection, while maintaining a secure fit around your face. The Smith CACHE MIPS ski helmet is thus designed to provide clear visibility of the terrain and visual comfort, thanks directly to its airflow systems.

Practicality and Compatibility for Versatile Use

This unisex ski and snowboard helmet is designed to easily integrate with your usual gear, no matter what your sport is. It’s compatible with the Aleck® audio system, allowing you to add a suitable audio solution—if you wish—without altering the helmet’s construction. The available sizes (51–55 and 55–59) offer a range of fit options to adjust the helmet’s volume to your head shape, all through the 360° micro-adjustable system.

Part of the WINTER collection, the Smith CACHE MIPS ski helmet is designed to complement a range of gear for the cold season, meeting the demands of alpine skiing and snowboarding. Its MATTE SOFT GRASS color option offers a subtle, modern look that pairs well with your ski jackets and pants. You’ll enjoy a helmet designed for all-terrain use, with technical features focused on safety, comfort, and ventilation management.
