Hybrid Construction and Impact Absorption

The shell of the Bollé V-RYFT PURE features a hybrid construction combining polycarbonate (PC) and ABS, two complementary materials: polycarbonate provides lightness and impact resistance, while ABS enhances the overall structural rigidity. Beneath the shell, AVID Progressive EPS technology features a multi-density expanded polystyrene liner capable of adjusting shock absorption based on the intensity of the impact. The helmet is certified to EN 1077, the European reference standard for alpine ski helmets, as well as EN 174 and ISO 18527-1, attesting to a rigorous level of quality control. The MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is also integrated: this system allows the shell to move slightly relative to the head during an oblique impact, thereby reducing the rotational forces transmitted to the brain. The helmet’s thermal management relies on an adjustable ventilation system with six vents, complemented by airflow exhausts that promote air circulation inside the helmet.
