The Dynastar PIVOT 2.0 13 GW B115 BLACK MET is designed for all-mountain and freeride skiers looking for a reliable, precise alpine ski binding capable of meeting the demands of aggressive skiing. With a DIN range from 4.5 to 13, it caters to a wide range of skiers, from experienced intermediate to advanced skiers tackling varied terrain. Its pivoting heel piece, aluminum toe piece, and GripWalk compatibility make this a binding designed to combine safety, power transfer, and versatility. The BLACK METAL finish completes a design that is both technical and understated, created for the 2025/2026 season.

Secure release and generous elastic travel

The Dynastar PIVOT 2.0 13 GW features a 180° multi-directional release system, meaning the binding can release in multiple directions simultaneously, reducing the risk of the binding locking up during a complex fall. This feature is particularly relevant in freeriding, where the forces applied to the binding are rarely uniaxial. The DIN range of 4.5 to 13 accommodates a variety of skier profiles, but precise adjustment must be performed by a professional based on the skier’s weight, height, skill level, and sole length.

Elastic travel is one of this binding’s key strengths. The front stop offers 45 mm of elastic travel, while the heel piece provides 28 mm. These high values help absorb vibrations and jolts without causing the binding to release prematurely, which improves the ski’s hold on the skier’s feet on hard snow or in rough terrain. Long Elastic Travel technology formalizes this advantage by ensuring an effective buffer zone between stress and actual release.

Toe and Heel Pieces: Performance-Oriented Components

The Race Aluminum Toe Piece is constructed from aluminum, a material that combines stiffness and lightness for direct transmission of pressure to the ski. At 19 mm in height, it positions the foot in a geometry that promotes precise steering. The Full Action GW technology integrated into the toe piece ensures compatibility with GripWalk-soled boots without compromising the mechanical performance of the assembly.

The Turntable Heel, an iconic component of this line, features a central pivot that allows for free rotation during release. This mechanical design reduces lateral friction and promotes a clean release, even during torsional impacts. The Rolling Control system complements this mechanism by controlling the heel’s rolling motion, ensuring predictable performance both while skiing and during release.

Sole compatibility and brake width tailored to your setup

The Dynastar PIVOT 2.0 13 GW B115 BLACK MET supports two sole standards: Adult Alpine (ISO 5355) and GripWalk (ISO 23223 A). This dual compatibility allows it to be paired with both traditional alpine ski boots and models equipped with the GripWalk sole, whose rounded profile makes walking easier. It is essential to verify that the boot explicitly bears one of these two markings before any installation, as any compatibility error poses a real safety risk.

This model is equipped with a 115-mm-wide brake, making it suitable for skis with a waist width around this value; the brake must extend slightly beyond each side of the ski to function properly as a ski brake. The short mounting zone (Short Mounting Zone) facilitates installation on skis with a reduced mounting surface, a common constraint on freeride or all-mountain models with specialized construction.

Weighing 1,120 g per binding (half-pair), the Dynastar PIVOT 2.0 13 GW B115 BLACK MET is positioned as an all-mountain and freeride ski binding built to last, with no compromises on power transmission or safety. It is suitable for an experienced skier looking for reliable equipment on a variety of trails as well as off-piste, provided that installation and adjustment are performed by a qualified technician.
