From pioneering origins to a global benchmark
The story begins in 1987, when Thomas Krenn founded Snow Pro in Birgel, Germany, with the ambition of introducing snowboarding to Europe. At that time, the brand developed some of the first rigid bindings on the market. At the end of the 1990s, the natural evolution towards flexible bindings marked a turning point: Snow Pro became SP Bindings, a brand entirely dedicated to innovation and comfort in modern snowboarding.
FASTEC®: speed, control, and safety
In 2007, SP revolutionized the rider experience with the launch of the FASTEC® system, one of the very first double-entry binding systems. It combines the speed of rear entry with the precise and secure hold of traditional buckles. The result: less time wasted, more runs, and optimal control on all terrains.
A brand founded on German engineering
SP Bindings' DNA is based on solid technical expertise: tool design, injection molding, and high-precision industrial development. These standards are so demanding that they have even enabled the brand to become a supplier to the automotive industry.
