Lange is a brand specializing in the manufacture of ski boots. For the record, Robert Lange made the first ski boot out of reinforced plastic and polyester resin in 1948. This was followed by a long series of innovations, including plastic boots with laces and the appearance of the first ski boot with metal buckles in 1965.
The Lange brand's reputation has grown over the years thanks to the visibility provided by athletes equipped with Lange boots: three gold medals at the 1972 Olympic Games in Sapporo, four medals at the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary, not to mention the performances ofDeborah Compagnoni (Olympic gold),Alberto Tomba (world champion), Hermann Maier (double Olympic gold) , , andMaria Riesch(two crystal globes).
In the early 2010s, Lange innovated once again with the introduction of boots designed for wide feet, without compromising on performance. As the years went by, Lange established itself as a major competitor in the ski boot market, with more and more athletes choosing this brand.
