New generation HyperBead™ fabric: lighter, stronger

This new version features the exclusive HyperBead™ fabric, a major innovation developed by Big Agnes. This new generation fabric is 6% lighter, 25% more waterproof, and 50% stronger than traditional fabrics, without the addition of chemicals. It offers a durable water rating of 1500mm and does not require re-waterproofing over time. What's more, this tent is manufactured without the intentional addition of PFAS, for a reduced environmental impact.

Exceptional livability for an ultralight tent

Thanks to its large-volume freestanding architecture, the Copper Spur UL2 offers a generous interior space with a living area of 2.7 m². Its stable structure allows the tent to be moved once pitched, even without stakes. The two large side doors facilitate access and offer optimal comfort for each occupant.

Two spacious vestibules and canopy doors

The two vestibules, each measuring 0.8 m², allow you to store your gear away from the elements. The extended doors can be configured as a canopy using trekking poles or the supplied ropes, creating additional protected space for cooking or relaxing.

Optimized ventilation for drier nights

The Copper Spur UL2 features smart, adjustable ventilation. Low Vent systems on the vestibules and High Vent systems on the mosquito net ensure efficient air circulation from the bottom and top, greatly reducing condensation. The breathable mesh chamber further improves thermal comfort and ventilation on humid or hot nights.

Quick and secure setup

Setup is simple and intuitive thanks to the TipLok™ Tent Buckle system, which allows you to attach the poles, attach and tension the flysheet with precision. Reflective guy lines and straps visible at night increase safety, while pre-cut and pre-installed guy lines ensure quick setup, even after a long day of hiking.

Practical features and smart accessories

Inside, multiple storage pockets, interior loops, and a large ceiling pocket allow you to organize your gear efficiently. The Quick Stash closure keeps doors open without letting them drag. The tent is also mtnGLO® compatible to accommodate LED lighting (sold separately).
