JOTT: The Brand’s Origins and History

The original idea was simple: to create a jacket you could always have on hand, like an everyday essential— simple, practical, and stylish. Founded in 2010 in Marseille, JOTT draws inspiration from the Mediterranean lifestyle to offer warm clothing without sacrificing style. From its earliest years, the brand made a name for itself with its lightweight, easily packable down jackets, suitable for both city life and the mountains. In just a few years, JOTT has expanded far beyond the borders of Marseille to attract a European and international clientele.

Product Development and Innovations at JOTT

JOTT’s signature is based on a clear proposition: technical, lightweight, water-repellent down jackets filled with down and feathers, which fold into a compact pouch. From 0 to 99 years old, whether you’re a woman, man, child, or even a dog, whether you prefer a straight, fitted, tapered, or loose cut, reversible, with or without sleeves, with or without a hood, JOTT has a garment suited for everyone.

The brand offers jackets for all seasons, from ultralight to warm down jackets; JOTT is suitable for temperatures ranging from 10°C to -20°C.

Among the flagship models available is the ARAGON, a lightweight stretch down jacket for men that offers exceptional comfort thanks to its stretch fabric and down filling, keeping you warm down to 5°C while allowing for full range of motion. And for women, the CHA, a thin and lightweight down jacket whose down/feather blend ensures high-performance insulation and whose water-repellent fabric allows water to slide off without absorbing it.

JOTT’s Eco-Responsible Commitment

JOTT is an RDS (Responsible Down Standard)-certified company, audited by Ecocert Greenlife. All down- and feather-filled jackets and parkas are made from eco-responsible duck down and feathers sourced from farms that respect animal welfare.

Since the launch of the Fall-Winter 2023 collection, the brand has displayed traceability and environmental impact information on each product, in compliance with the French AGEC and European PEF laws, in partnership with Fairly Made®. In 2022, all direct suppliers underwent social audits according to the ICS standard, one of the most rigorous in the industry.

To promote more responsible consumption, JOTT also offers secondhand services through its REJOTT website, as well as care and repair tips to extend the lifespan of its products.
