Maintenance kit for touring skins and skis

This waxing and maintenance set for the soles and skins of your touring skis contains Vola and Colltex products.

It will enable you to carry out repairs and regular maintenance on your touring skis and skins, as well as having the products you need in your bag when you go out: an anti-boot and a glue reactivator. The touring waxing kit comes in a Vola carry bag.

Repairing the base of your skis:

- 1 black Vola repair plug:

1 candle that you light with a lighter to plug holes caused by stones in your base.

Hot waxing of touring skis:

-1 Vola travel waxing iron:

This waxing iron is fully adjustable and very ergonomic.
Thanks to its small size and high performance, this small iron will become an easily transportable tool.

Hot waxing is the only way to have a sole that glides for a long time. The wax penetrates the base and makes the ski glide much longer than wax applied cold.

- 1 loaf of Vola special rando wax (80g):

Special competition rando wax.
Wax developed for ski touring enthusiasts looking for performance.
Subtle blends have enabled VOLA to develop a hot-applied wax that does not prevent sealskins from sticking to the sole.

-1 3MM plastic scraper

A plastic scraper for scraping off excess wax after hot waxing.

-1 Mixed bronze/plastic brush

a brush with a metal side to clean your base before waxing and a plastic side to remove excess wax after scraping.

Skin care

- 1 tube of Colltex glue:

This tube of glue will allow you to re-glue your skins when the glue on them is tired and no longer effective.

Equipment for the bottom of the bag:

1 vola Special rando Quick Boost 60ml wax:

This handy wax stick has two functions: you can use it to cold-wax the soles of your skis. Practical when you're in a resort and can't wax hot. It's also very effective for waxing skins for better glide and, above all, to prevent skins from kicking. When conditions are a little damp and there's fresh snow at altitude, going out can quickly become a nightmare if the cold snow comes into contact with the damp skins and clumps together. Vola Quickboost liquid touring wax is really effective in preventing skins from kicking.

1 Colltex Quick Spray glue reactivator:

This can sprays a glue activator onto your skins. When your skins don't stick anymore during an outing, this Colletex spray can really get you out of tricky situations by allowing the skins to temporarily stick back on the skis. Caution: use only as an emergency aid.
