Lange' s XT3 TOUR ski touring boots are now available from Speck-Sports.
The XT3 Tour is very much in the DNA of the XT3 range, with power, precision and comfort at its core.
The XT3 Tour features a Dual Core Light shell made up of one layer of soft plastic (for shock absorption) surrounded by two layers of rigid plastic (for power reproduction), making it easy to put on and take off. The 100 flex will suit experienced skiers looking for a responsive, dynamic boot adapted to their level.
If you want to reach the top, you need a boot that's made for it. Like the other XT3 models, the XT3 Tour features the Active Power V-Lock mechanism, which offers an extra 11° of forward travel for a total of 53°. Once in ski mode, this mechanism locks the boot to make it aggressive on the descent. This mechanism is coupled with a Friction Free Hinge, which also offers very good travel while limiting friction.
Dynafit's low-tech front inserts are approved for freerando use, giving you precise control on ascents and excellent transmission on descents. To make your climbing experience more enjoyable, the XT3 Tour is equipped with a Vibram outsole (ISO 9523 touring) with a rocker specific to hiking, offering natural foot roll and unique grip on rocky ascents, while its ribs provide secure support on snowy vertical approaches.
Finally, the Touring Liner is customisable and offers excellent insulation, while the Performance Touring Boot Board insole boasts excellent shock absorption and cold insulation.
All in all, the new XT3 TOUR touring boot from Lange is a very well thought-out boot for ascents, while still performing well on descents, for advanced skiers.
