The MTN EXPLORE 88 touring ski by Salomon is back from Speck-Sports.
The MTN Explore 88 is perfect for experienced skiers looking for a ski that's light on the ascent, but still offers some feel on the descent.
The pre-formed 3D Karuba wood core is ideal for making the ski lighter, while guaranteeing good vibration absorption on the way down. The use of Spaceframe 2.0 technology reduces the use of material in key areas throughout the ski, allowing Salomon to make the MTN Explore 88 even lighter.
However, a good touring ski is also characterised by its downhill performance. The MTN Explore 88 features Sandwich Full Sidewall construction with a titanium insert under the binding and C/FX reinforcements (carbon + linen). The aim is to give you a ski that's grippy even when the snow is a little harder, powerful, stable and light.
The tip has ultra-lighthoneycomb/Koroyd inserts reinforced with ABS. The result is a lighter tip, making the ski easier to handle, but also more comfortable in powder thanks to the rocker in the tip, which makes it easier to get off the ground.
