Armada ARV 88 ski pack + bindings
The Armada ARV 88 is designed for riders looking for a ski that is both playful and precise. Its dynamic poplar core provides excellent pop for jumps and reassuring stiffness when carving hard. Lightweight and stable, it is suitable for technical descents and freestyle sessions.
Why we love it
These skis combine agility and grip: an optimized construction limits weight at the extremities to maximize responsiveness, while the tip and tail profiles with a slight rocker provide tolerance in changing conditions.
What's the program for Armada ARV 88 skis?
The Armada ARV 88 combines an AR Freestyle Rocker (tip/tail rocker + camber underfoot) for floating in powder, carving through variable snow, and maintaining solid grip, with a 100% poplar core that provides power, pop, and stability without excess weight. Designed for durability and performance, they feature ash reinforcement under the bindings, ultra-resistant 2.5 Impact edges, and a fast and robust S7 base to maximize speed and longevity.
Key features of the Armada ARV 88 skis
- Poplar core — for bounce and dynamism with every compression.
- Amplified pop — construction that promotes ollies and big tricks.
- Excellent edge hold — stability and precision on hard snow for sharp turns.
- Lightweight rocker in the tip and tail — versatility on the trail and in the park.
- MadSteez design — original visuals inspired by Armada HQs in the US and Austria.
Ideal for versatile riders who want a high-performance ski for the park, street, and compact slopes. If you compete in contests or like to go big while maintaining control, the ARV 88 is for you.
Tips for choosing your binding position:
FACTORY
The Factory mounting corresponds to the mark indicated on all Armada skis. It defines the recommended position of the center of your boot for the best all-mountain performance. This positioning offers excellent floatation in deep snow, enhanced stability at high speeds, and very good precision in turns. On the other hand, it makes the ski a little less maneuverable and provides a slightly less balanced feel, especially in the air or when skiing switch.
Who is it for? This setup is for skiers with a traditional stance who ski mainly forward with strong pressure on the shin. It is particularly suitable for piste skiers, speed enthusiasts, and those looking for a directional ski that offers control and power.
FREESTYLE
The Freestyle mark is located further forward on the ski. It is designed for a more playful, freestyle-inspired style. This mounting offers increased maneuverability, a more balanced and natural feel in the air, and greater comfort when skiing switch. However, it slightly reduces lift in powder snow, stability at very high speeds, and carving performance.
Who is it for? It is ideal for skiers who prefer a more creative and freestyle approach, with a centered stance and less pressure on the front of the boot. It is perfect for park skiers and those looking for a fun and versatile ski for all-mountain skiing.
