Two main types of trekking tents

The dome tent offers better livability due to its increased height. Another advantage is that it is freestanding, meaning its poles allow it to stand without stakes. This is ideal for rocky terrain, but it adds to the weight of the tent. The tunnel tent, on the other hand, is lighter but less spacious. It is not freestanding and requires stakes to be pitched.
